3DIY| Tree of Hearts

Prep the Project: Cut out tiny hearts, in different shades of pink, purple, and red construction paper.

1.DIY Flowering Tree from a Kid’s Hand

DIY Tree of Hearts Materials:

  • Construction paper (for hearts )
  • Сardboard (for hand)
  • Scissors
  • Black, red marker
  • Glue.

How to Make a Flowering Tree from a Kid’s Hand:

Take the piece of construction paper. For an older child you may need a larger piece of construction paper, as you will be tracing both their arm and hand, on the paper (fingers spread out!).

Next, cut out the ‘tree’ outline.
VERY IMPORTANT: You want to cut out about a 2-inch strip, on the bottom of the brown cardboard. This will serve as the base of the tree and help to keep the tree of hearts, upright, once the project is complete. Need to make cuts on the sides of the strip.

Glue the leaves.

Glue hearts in the desired order.

Make and paste the inscription «I love Mom».

2.DIY Tree of Hearts

DIY Tree of Hearts Materials:

  • Construction paper (any colors)
  • Сardboard
  • Paints (gouache ) + brush
  • Scissors
  • Glue.

How to Make a Tree of Hearts:

Create a three-dimensional paper tree.

We draw a tree on cardboard.

Cut out all tree trunks.

We need to make two such details.

We paint in green or brown color (it is possible another at your discretion).

We make cuts, as in the photo:

We insert one part into another.

Glue hearts.

Continue gluing more hearts until you’re happy with how your tree looks.

The tree is easy to fold.

3.DIY Tree of Hearts

DIY Tree of Hearts Materials:

  • Construction paper
  • Сardboard
  • Scissors
  • Glue.

How to Make a Tree of Hearts:

Cut two details of tree.

Glue hearts in the desired order.

Continue gluing more hearts until you’re happy with how your tree looks.

Glue the tree to the stand.
